HALE HAU’OLI HAWAI’I ADULT DAY CARE
Hale Hau’oli means “happy place”. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming environment for our senior citizens. We offer our participants entertainment, socialization, physical exercise and aloha, stimulating both mind and body. And we provide caregivers with the respite they need to pursue work or other activities while knowing their loved ones are in the care of professionals.
Hale Hau’oli Hawai’i is a non-residential facility that may help delay admission to residential long-term care. For participants who would otherwise stay at home alone, who can no longer manage independently, or who are isolated and lonely, the social stimulation and recreational opportunities may help improve or maintain physical and cognitive function.
SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES
Hale Hau’oli Hawai’I will do more than offer a safe place to stay and basic health monitoring. We also provide a range of activities designed to keep our participants engaged socially and physically.
Basic Services
• Assistance with eating, toileting and walking
• Assistance with medications
• Health monitoring (vital signs, meal and fluid intake
• Laundry and shower facilities.
Activities
Activities include exercise, arts and crafts, field trips, games, holiday and birthday parties, music therapy and live entertainment. We recognize that each participant may have unique needs and limitations. Our activities will be adapted accordingly, and will be tailored to the group of participants in attendance at any given time.
We also provide escorts to physician appointments within the Mary Savio Medical Plaza, as needed.
HOURS OF OPERATION
• Regular hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday
• Request for drop-off as early as 6:00 a.m. and pick-up as late as 7:00 p.m. will be accommodated for an extra fee per hour
• Saturday hours (Tuition assistance available if Kupuna is qualified).: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
COST OF CARE
2023 Rates
Cost per day Monday – Friday: $80.00
Cost per day Saturday – Sunday: $95.00
Partial day (4-hour minimum): $15.00 per hour
Early drop-off / late pick-up: $10.00 per half hour

Saturday – Sunday
Mid-day meal and snacks provided
Showers: $35.00
Escort to physician appointment
Within Mary Savio Medical Plaza: No Charge
Application Fee: $50.00
(will be deducted from first month’s
fees if client comes full-time)
